Ways To Spend Your Weekends Productively

Ways To Spend Your Weekends Productively

As we grow up, life gets busy. Each day, it is getting busier because you are being shouldered with several responsibilities. You have an office, home, kids, family to look after, and many other things to be taken care of. It’s quite common that you don’t get enough time for yourself. By the weekend comes; you are exhausted to the brim and all you could think about is doze off. You just want to be lazy and nothing else. Some call it the best weekend while for others it’s the guilty weekend. You keep reassuring yourself that you would do something productive the next minute but it’s kind of hocus-pocus. You do not have to dress up or go out for your weekend to be fruitful. Within your comfort zone, you can do things that add to your life.

1. Read Books

Do not buy books for it to collect dust in the corner. On weekends, dust them off and read. In the evening or afternoon; you can sit on a balcony or a dedicated corner relaxing on your couch with a cup of coffee/tea and read something good. For a while put away your phone and give up on sleep. After one-two trials, you will get in the habit of it so much that your weekend would be incomplete without reading.

2. Nurture Plants

Watering plants do not translate to nurturing them. Nurturing and nourishing means taking proper care of them. Pruning and trimming the leaves, repotting them, feeding them with fertilizers, moving them as per the ideal temperatures. Dedicate your weekend mornings to growing plants. Spend time with them, you will feel good.

3. D-clutter Space

If you want to infuse your breath into your space, D-clutter it. Cluttering spaces can act as blockages in your life. You may feel stagnant watching the mess-up spaces. Use your weekends to clean your spaces. Throw away all the unnecessary clutter. Arrange your cupboards and shelves. Re-decorate your room with plants and other decor items. Bring in some scented candles and Feng Shui elements to embrace positivity and healing.

4. Satiate Your Cravings

Weekends are for cheat meals. You are home and you crave all things sweet and savoury. Do indulge in pleasures and have a good time. You can make snacks and have them for lunch and dinner. Then, go for online cake delivery in Mumbai, get yourself a box of cake, cupcakes, or jar cakes, and enjoy the weekend. Sugary delights will boost your mood and will take off the week’s stress.

5. Spend Time with Family

You are busy and so is your family. All you have is weekends to spend time together. Make the most of it and stay home for your parents and siblings. Talk and play with them. Have a nice family time. A different routine will refresh your body, mind, and soul. Even your family will appreciate quality time with you.

6. Learn New Skills

Our comfort inhibits us from trying new things and achieving greater heights. Do not get into a comfort zone that prevents you from growing. Use your weekends to upgrade your skills. Learn new things that interest you, enroll in classes, or take online classes. Do not just learn but put it into practice as well. If it’s dance, dance your heart out every evening. If it’s arts and crafts, create something for your home.

Lazy weekends are surely something desirable. But putting your energy into something productive will yield innate satisfaction that is hard to explain. If you are fortunate enough to have Saturdays and Sundays off, reserve one for relaxation and one for productivity.
